Dear Students,
There is an ongoing issue with our third party ForumNG plugin where a post or comment is not accepted by Moodle and a database error is displayed. This occurs if a piece of text is pasted into a post or comment and it contains a Greek character or an accented character.
We have been given an update by the plugin developers but this update is causing other issues in our environment that we are working to resolve. Unfortunately this resolution is not likely to occur before the University’s Christmas and New Year break.
In the meantime the only thing that you can try is to delete any pasted accented characters and replace them by clicking on the Insert Special Character button, found in the second row of the editor, and selecting the correct one from the grid.
ForumNG can be identified in your activities by the icon. The issue does not arise in a core Moodle Forum.
