Dear Students,
Welcome to the second Module in MUDR. In these 5 weeks we will look at the use of research and evidence in context, and explore how 'digital' sources are being adopted and legitimised as evidence. I will provide a case from studies of Science we conducted a few years ago, and you will provide examples from your experience. Together we will look for and discuss examples from elsewhere.
This module has 3 assessments.
1. A Study Assessment of 3 questions to be completed by next Sunday.
2. A Pair presentation in Week 5
3. A personal Essay.
The Module includes a training course on using the COSMOS social media analysis tool, given by Prof Rob Proctor, in Week 4. Please go to the COSMOS page and request a login. We have 4 weeks to get the software working!
On Week 1 the Collaborate session will happen at 5pm on Thursday (if that is sill good for everyone, we can do it a bit later on if necessary). We will have more group discussion than lecture, so be prepared by doing the reflective exercise.
