Hi Gillian,
Please find below some guidance:
How to reference an image from a website
If you have found the image from Google images, you should be able to trace the source of the image by clicking on it and should cite the original source.
Examples for Harvard style referencing:
Lectica Inc, (2014). Validity. [image] Available at: https://dts.lectica.org/_about/las_reliability_validity.php [Accessed 19 Oct. 2014].
Bryant, L. R. (2010). Cane toad [Photograph]. Available at: http://larvalsubjects.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/cane_toad.jpg [Accessed 8th March 2016]
If there is no named author, put the image title first, followed by the date (if available):
Greater Manchester Congestion Charge [Map]. (2008). Available at: http://www.maptube.org/map.aspx?mapid=239%20[Accessed 8th March 2016]
In the text of the assignment, remember to cite as you would for any other reference (Author surname, date) next to the image.
Thanks
Susie & Allison
