Geert Hofstede's Cultural Dimensions

The Cultural Dimensions tool we will use this week is based from Geert Hofstede's 50 years of studying the frameworks of cultural through the eyes of the five dimensions.  The readings this week will serve as an instructional manual when interpreting the country index tool found here.  Use the forums to post questions, comments about some of the reasons and justifications Hofstede provides to justify why certain cultures function with the framework of each dimension.  Look at each dimension through a criteria lens, and remember though this tool attempts to categorize culture, and though it attempts to pull culture into a single perspective, it is not representative of each individual within a certain culture.
