Profile and settings

In Moodle, in the top right hand corner, you will see your name and an arrow which releases the drop down menu. Click on 'Profile' and select 'edit profile' and scroll down to bottom of page to add your profile picture, you can upload a photo of yourself, an avatar or any image you like. 

'Preferences' allow you to choose how to manage Moodle settings. You can change the settings for the forum/discussion posts in this section.
