Here is the latest update on the issues with Moodle.
We have moved storage of the databases to a new more robust technology that has been recently installed at the University. This should reduce the impact of the issue but we are also going to move the backup process to 9PM to allow classes using Moodle in the early evening to run without hindrance. However it does mean that there is an at risk period for access to Moodle at 2100 to 2230 BST (GMT +1).
We will monitor the performance of Moodle tonight to confirm the effect of these changes.
