Hi Susie,

Just a quick question about pebble and IP IV.

Am I correct in thinking we record our reflective diary on pebble+ and for submission copy this to a word document to submit to Turnitin?

I'm sure this will be covered in Alison's lecture but thought I'd ask.

Hi Donna,

Thanks for your query.

Yes you use Pebble+ to record your reflective diary - extracts from here can be used (copy and pasted) into a word document to support your narrative which is to be submitted in the IP IV Turnitin dropbox. Further information can be found in the assignment specifications, however Allison will be discussing all the assignment in tomorrows lecture (Wed 13th Jan. at 6-7pm), so if you have anymore queries, please do raise them in the lecture.

Not able to access the link "Getting started in Pebble + (PDF)"

Dear Susie,

I had no problem accessing Pebble plus, but have attempted to log into the link "Getting started in Pebble + (PDF)" and I get the error message below:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, IS.Helpline@ed.ac.uk and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Apache/2 Server at www.ease.ed.ac.uk Port 443

 

I made  attempts to access this link twice. On Saturday 16th January 2016 at about 8pm (GMT) and Sunday 17th January 2016 at 4am (GMT) . 

I also tried to access the link while logged into the VPN but this did not work.

I am afraid there might be no record of me documenting in Pebble+ in a timely manner.

I sent an email to the server administrator as instructed in the error message at; IS.Helpline@ed.ac.uk.

 

Please let me know your thoughts on this or how I can get access on how to start documenting in Pebble +.

Dear Susie and Allison,

I would appreciate some guidance on the following:

1) Which type of "assets" should we use to enter our reflections in Pebble+, among the options we are given in the menu "add new"?  

2) On 5-Feb, for the "Reflective diary submission", are we sharing our Pebble+ with Allison or are we submitting a word document with our"copy-pasted" entries from Pebble+?

Hi All,

Thanks for highlighting, I'll re-look into this again. In the meantime please find attached the pebble+ guidance which indicates which template (asset)  you should use in writing up your reflections (it should be the Journal Entry template, which you will find under Reflection).

With re to reflective diary submissions, you will be sharing your Pebble+ entries with Allison - further instruction on how to submit your reflections will follow shortly.

For your information, you can access Pebble+ either via:

1. The link https://v3.pebblepad.co.uk/login/Login/ChooseInstall

2. Or manually through MyEd - guidance can be found here

Hi,

I'm looking to submit my activity log and seems that I've created more than one along the way. Should I just submit one activity log and add to this one from now on or submit both?

Activity Log Feedback

Hi All,

As per announcement (Feb, 23rd) feedback is now available for those who had submitted their Activity Logs to Pebble+.

An email will be sent to you with a link to access your comments in Pebble+.

Once in Pebble+, you will notice 5 icons down the right hand side of your activity log.

Select the 3rd icon (Circle with a tick) to view your feedback - Allison has given a summary feedback of all your journal entries on the activity log.

Should you run into any trouble again accessing PebblePad, please just select the following link

https://v3.pebblepad.co.uk/login/Login/ChooseInstall and follow the instructions below:

1. Choose "University of Edinburgh" from the drop down list

2. Check box "I have an IT account at this organisation"

3. Select "Login to Pebble+"

4. Check box "I am a student or staff member at Edinburgh University" and press Select
