Background to What John Sproule Spoke About in the Mini Lecture

I love the environment that the All Blacks have created, but this video is pretty interesting and shows that not long ago it wasn't anywhere near as good as it is now. It also shows how important the environment and culture is as the changes made by Grahame Henry marked an up turn in form from the All Blacks. I'd really like to know if there have been any major changes since the 2011 World Cup win as the composure and self belief seems to have grown so much or if that's just down to greater experience of the players and coaches.

John actually has some further insights into this. I also think reading the article that he referred to and thinking about this context really helps. Perhaps we could encourage John to share some further thoughts - he actually managed to spend quality time with Ritchie McCaw.

I'm pretty jealous. Of all athletes I'd like to speak to McCaw the most. Unbelievable athlete and hugely resilient mentally. The All Blacks environment is obviously one I'm really interested in and see a lot of relevance to me since I'm mainly involved in rugby, so any insights or thoughts John has would be much appreciated. Do you know the author of the paper he mentioned?
