Collaborate and MyEd - testers required!

Collaborate is the new virtual classroom service offered by Information Services, University of Edinburgh. It is currently integrated with various University VLEs: Moodle, Learn and EEMeC. In early November, we are implementing a Collaborate Integration in to MyEd which will be available to both students and staff. We hope this integration will be especially useful to students collaborating at a distance. A student will be able to create a Collaborate session/room without intervention. More details on Collaborate at: www.ed.ac.uk/is/collaborate

We need assistance with the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for this Collaborate Integration with MyEd on Tuesday 16th October (sorry for short notice). All test logins and test scripts will be provided at the time and you can run the testing from your office desk/home. We would need about a 1.5 hour testing time from you on Tuesday 16th October. This is a great way to feedback on the design and usability of the integration but to also get a look at the integration early.

We will need all completed testing scripts, with feedback, by Wednesday 17th October 9am (UK time). All scripts and details will be provided to you.

Could you please email Fiona Littleton (fiona.littleton@ed.ac.uk) if you have time to assist with testing? Can you also confirm whether you are a PC or Mac user and which browser you would prefer to test on? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you – Fiona
